Derby Basics 2: What to expect at your first practice

Gearing up takes a while. Be there on time so you have first pick of the loaner gear. Make sure to put knee pads on first, then skates, elbow pads, helmet, and then last, put on the wrist guards. Take your time getting comfortable. Skate at your own pace. Know your body and your limits.

Derby Basics: What to bring to your first practice

Skates, pads, and helmet are not needed for your first practice. You do not need to know how to skate. All you need is the will to keep going and keep picking yourself up. Falling is part of derby.

Sunday Practice Time and Location Change

Our Sunday, February 4th practice has been changed to Sunday morning at 10 am. McDermont will be closed Sunday, so we had to make a last minute change. Meet us out at the Sin Cal Derby Vixen's Warehouse, located at 401 1st St. in Exeter.
